6,000 scoucers at the Boleyn for a week night KO with no train home....
Makes our ticket office decision to only take 3,000 for Anfield inexplicable... it would have made a difference

I'd imagine it was to wind us up that Gerrard scored the winner in the cup final in 2006

Plus I also think that I read the 'Most supporters in England' gumph in the Daily Mail originally, so it must be bollocks!! ;o)

Way before my time, but the Man Utd team of the 50's must have made them 100's of thousands of supporters nationwide.

To the OP, on the basis that us taking more to Anfield would have made a difference, how is that we didn't lose last night? If 3 to 6 makes such a difference we should have lost.

See you all at Blackburn.

watched the game with my 12 year old last night.....brilliant. Just after half time he said he needed a poo, but managed to put it off until we'd won the game.

Runs in the family; this is what parenthood is all about.

Then again the way football has gone, the fickle fans probably would have been more than happy to swap from Liverpool to Man Utd when they became shit!!!

just as many Man U as scouse where I was grump and this was when Liverpool were winning the Euopen CUp and Man U hadn;t won the league in about 18 years at the time

they have always been hugely supported

Well obviously, they have a bigger ground.

I guarantee Man Utd aren't the biggest supported club in England though.

The world maybe, but certainly not England.

Why were they singing the Que Sera Gerrard song?

Thick cunts, he wasn't playing

Majority were probably actually Mancs back then though.

I'm from Hornchurch and in my entire year at school (200 kids maybe and from 1986 to 1990), there were 180 West Ham fans, 18 Liverpool fans, 1 yid and 1 gooner.*

Even back then people simply either supported West Ham or Liverpool in my area, as they completely dominated it and kids know no better.

Visit my mate in Oslo now and every cunt over there who is our age supports Liverpool as well, the glory hunting Scandinavian tossers.

*Obviously not completely correct, except for the gooner and yid part.

It was a great night for us and i think we deserved the win, but to be fair their support was excellent.

Probably unlikely Eggy, as Man Utd have only been building up support since Fergie and Celtic are just certain areas of Britain.

Utter bollocks

they've always had bigger crowds than Liverpool even in their glory days
